Will Not Start or No Power: the short answer
A cabinet that is completely dead is a supply problem far more often than an appliance problem, and the checks that prove that are all outside the machine. A cabinet with lights but no compressor is a different fault, and it is the one that leads to a start component. Unplug the cabinet before you remove any panel or reach behind the toe grille. The sealed system is under pressure and is not an owner-serviceable circuit: never cut, kink, braze or vent a refrigerant line, and never apply heat anywhere near one. A loaded cabinet is heavy and tips forward easily when it is walked out on its front rollers, so empty it first and pull it straight out with a helper rather than levering it on one corner.
