Ice Maker Fault: the short answer
An ice maker that has stopped is usually being starved of water or of cold, and both of those are diagnosed outside the ice maker itself. The module is the last thing to suspect, not the first. This page takes the same fault from the other end: the machine switched off, cold and opened up, where the mechanical, installation and wear causes are found. Unplug the cabinet before you remove any panel or reach behind the toe grille. The sealed system is under pressure and is not an owner-serviceable circuit: never cut, kink, braze or vent a refrigerant line, and never apply heat anywhere near one. A loaded cabinet is heavy and tips forward easily when it is walked out on its front rollers, so empty it first and pull it straight out with a helper rather than levering it on one corner.
