Door, Latch or Seal Fault: the short answer
A door that does not seal is rarely a failed gasket on its own. It is normally alignment, a hinge that has sagged under load, or a shelf that stops the door closing the last fraction — and all three present as condensation, a running compressor and a warm cabinet. This page takes the same fault from the other end: the machine switched off, cold and opened up, where the mechanical, installation and wear causes are found. Unplug the cabinet before you remove any panel or reach behind the toe grille. The sealed system is under pressure and is not an owner-serviceable circuit: never cut, kink, braze or vent a refrigerant line, and never apply heat anywhere near one. A loaded cabinet is heavy and tips forward easily when it is walked out on its front rollers, so empty it first and pull it straight out with a helper rather than levering it on one corner.
