What this usually is

What the owner actually sees

- Watch the standpipe or trap connection during the drain step — Water escaping only while the pump runs has located itself.
- Look for foam at the door rather than clear water — Foam is a dosing problem, and it stops as soon as the dose comes down.
- Run the nearest sink and watch how it clears — A shared blockage shows at both outlets, not just at the machine.
