Before you open anything
Safety
Switch the appliance off at its breaker or unplug it before removing a panel — a capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. The sealed refrigerant system is licensed work at every point, and a loaded cabinet is heavy enough to injure someone: empty it before it is moved.
The service-call line
Owner work on the BD line stops at the freezer rear panel and the sealed system. Gaskets, drains, coils, filters and levelling are reachable; the evaporator and the refrigerant circuit are not.
