- Water under the crispers, on the floor, or ice on the freezer floor — Any water outside the drain pan. Melt water is the drain; clean water at the back with the supply live is a joint. - No ice, hollow cubes or a bin that fills too slowly — Ice that shrank before it stopped. That is a restriction — usually the filter — rather than a failed module. - A new rattle, chirp, roar or repeating click — Rattles at the back, chirps inside the freezer, or a hum through the floor. Location names the part before anything is opened. The problems in frequency order
- Loss of cooling with the unit still running — The leading complaint on the ART line. A compressor that still runs points at the air path, which is where three of the four checks live.
- A leak inside the cabinet or onto the floor — Second: the defrost drain carries debris through the coldest part of the cabinet, so it silts and then freezes shut.
- Ice production stopped or degraded — Third: an empty bin is often the earliest sign that the freezer is running warm, rather than an ice-maker fault at all.
- A running noise that has changed — Fourth: two fans, the compressor mounts and the cabinet's levelling account for nearly all of it, much of it without a part.

Before you open anything
Safety
Isolate the appliance at its breaker or unplug it before any panel comes off — a capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. The refrigerant circuit is licensed work and is not an owner repair at any point. Empty the cabinet before moving it.
