When a Whirlpool dishwasher used to dry and now does not, the timeline is more useful than the symptom. Before you open anything
Safety
Switch off the dishwasher breaker before removing the toe kick or any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Open the door carefully at the end of a heated cycle - steam escapes at the top edge. Never put a light plastic item where it can fall through the rack onto the element. Shut the water off before disturbing any supply fitting under the sink.
When this becomes a service call
The tub is cold and detergent is undissolved after a full cycle. The supply is on the cold side and has to be moved. Drying is still poor with the option on, rinse aid filled and a hot fill confirmed. The change began the day a repair finished - it belongs back with whoever did it.
