Where the water appears is the diagnosis. A leak at the back is almost always a hose or a connection; a leak at the front on a front-loading machine is the door seal or an overfill; a leak that appears only during drain is on the outlet side. Find the phase of the cycle and the corner of the machine before assuming a failed part.
