The short answer
An Elisii machine that stops part-way through, or runs forever without finishing, is usually protecting itself or mis-sensing the load rather than failing. Because these machines are installed by whoever unboxes them, airflow is the first thing to prove: a restricted machine overheats, opens a limit device and stops, then starts again once it cools. Note whether it stops hot or stops cold, because the two point in opposite directions.
What the machine is telling you
- The auto-dry cycle runs on indefinitely — The sensor never reports the load as dry, or the load really is not drying.
- It stops cold and stays stopped until the power is cut — That pattern looks electrical rather than thermal.
- It stops when somebody walks past or the door is bumped — A marginal door switch dropping out.
- It stops at roughly the same point every time — Repeatability points at a temperature threshold.
- NEAR MISS: the machine never starts at all — That is a start fault and the start page applies: door switch, supply, thermal fuse.
The ranking that matters
- Timer, control or a loose connection — The leading cause here: a failing control or a connector that opens when warm produces stops with no thermal pattern at all, which is why it sits below everything testable.
- Restricted airflow tripping a limit device — Second: the signature is unmistakable once you look for it: it stops hot, at roughly the same point, and it works again later.
- Duct length and routing beyond what the machine can push — Third: a duct that is too long, sags or uses ridged flexible hose behaves like a permanent partial blockage, so the machine cycles thermally forever.
What to test first, second, third
- Record whether it stops hot or cold, and at what point — That pattern is what lets a technician skip straight to the right circuit.
- Feel the cabinet when it stops, and check airflow at the hood — Hot cabinet plus weak air at the hood is the diagnosis, and the duct is the repair.
- Measure the duct run mentally: how many bends, how much sag — Every bend costs airflow.
