What this usually means
Odour in an Elisii unit is a maintenance complaint with a mechanical exception. The maintenance half is the filter, the sump, the seal and the spray arms. The exception is standing water, which no amount of cleaning fixes, and which is the reason a thoroughly cleaned machine can smell again in days.
Symptoms, including the ones that mean something else
- A musty smell from the cabinet around the machine, not inside it — A slow leak wetting joinery, which is a different and more expensive fault.
- Black or pink film in the gasket channel and around the door edge — Biofilm in the place that is warm, damp and never scrubbed.
