When a cycle on an Elisii unit never completes, the phase it dies in is the diagnosis. Stalling with water in the tub is drainage. Stalling dry with no fill noise is water supply. Stalling late with the cycle clock frozen is usually heat. Work whichever one the machine is pointing at rather than the whole list.
Symptoms, including the ones that mean something else
- It completes on a short cycle but not on a long one — Usually heat or drain, because the long cycle asks more of both.
- The cycle clock freezes but the machine keeps circulating — Waiting for a temperature it cannot reach, which is the heat-timeout pattern.
- It stops dry and early, with no fill sound at all — Water never arrived, so look at the service valve and the inlet.
- NEAR MISS: it never starts at all and the panel is dark — That is a start fault rather than a cycle fault: check the outlet, the switched fuse and the latch first.
What is usually behind it, in order
- Blocked drain path: filter, sump, hose or waste connection — The leading cause here: small sumps and long drain hoses with a tight bend under the cabinet are exactly where debris settles. It is also the one cause on this list you can clear in an afternoon.
- Restricted fill: service valve, kinked hose or inlet screen — Second: this badge sells online with no dealer network behind it, and a valve never fully opened on install day starves every cycle and shows up as a stall rather than as a leak.
- Board or sensor misreporting a condition — Less often, third: the honest conditions above account for most stalls and cost nothing to test.
What to test first, second, third
- Check whether water is standing in the base when it stalls — Standing water means this is the condition.
- Open the service valve fully and straighten the hose — Then listen for a confident fill.
- Note the exact phase and any code, then stop — This is where the owner evidence becomes the technician starting point.
