The short answer
The smell lives in the bellows fold, the detergent drawer housing and the drain filter chamber. Clean all three by hand, then run a hot maintenance wash - in that order - and change the habits that caused it: cooler washes, too much detergent and a door left closed.

Let the drum cool after a hot maintenance cycle before reaching in.
When to call
Call when the smell survives a full physical clean of all three places and a hot maintenance wash, because the remaining sources are the sump and the internal hoses. Call a plumber instead if the smell is of drains rather than mould and the laundry room smells even with the machine idle. A bellows that is perished or torn should be replaced rather than cleaned repeatedly.
