An Electrolux oven that leaks heat around its door usually has a door that is no longer hanging square rather than a gasket that has failed. That matters: hinges and alignment are a different job from a seal, and a new gasket on a dropped door changes nothing.

Switch off the breaker at the panel before removing any cover: the supply to a cooking appliance is not an ordinary lighting circuit and the terminal block stays live at the switch. If the appliance is a gas one and you smell gas, do not switch anything on or off, leave the building and call the gas utility or the emergency number from outside. Let the cavity cool fully before touching an element.
When to call a technician
Call when the gasket is sound and located and the door still gaps, because hinges, glass and latches all mean the door off the appliance. Call sooner if the door is loose on its hinges or the outer glass is cracked, since a heavy oven door that comes off its hinges is a real hazard.
