The short answer
Most noise complaints on an Ecoflick compact refrigerator come down to how it is standing, not to what is inside it. A light cabinet on an uneven floor with its rear coil touching the wall will buzz, hum and walk in a way a heavy full-size unit never does. Most likely causes on a compact refrigerator, in order
- The glass panel or its trim loose in the door frame — a glass door is a panel held in a frame, and once the trim or the retaining strip loosens the panel buzzes against it at compressor frequency — first on this form, and absent entirely on a solid door
- The unit is not level or is standing on a resonant surface — a compact cabinet is light enough that ordinary compressor vibration walks it and drums into the floor
- Rear coil or tubing touching a wall, cabinet or another appliance — compacts are pushed hard back against something, and any contact turns the wall into a soundboard — the second-cheapest thing to rule out
- Loose or rattling contents, shelves and drawers — a small cabinet has short shelves and light glass, and bottles that touch each other buzz at exactly the compressor frequency
What to check, and why in this order
- Press a flat hand on the glass while the cabinet runs — A noise that stops under hand pressure is the panel rather than the machine
- Establish first whether the noise tracks the compressor. — Stand by the unit until it cycles off; anything that stops with it is in the machine bay, and anything that continues is contents, a fan or the cabinet itself

Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. Never bend, lever or cut refrigerant tubing to stop it touching something — the lines are under pressure and a puncture ends the appliance. Keep fingers out of any fan while the unit is plugged in, because a condenser fan on a temperature control can start without warning.
When to stop and call a technician
Call for service when the noise is a hard knocking or grinding from the compressor itself, when a click-hum-click loop repeats and the cabinet is losing temperature, or when a fan blade is damaged. Levelling, clearance and contents are yours; the machine bay is not.
