What this usually is
A leaking Dacor dishwasher needs its source found before anything is replaced. Door seals, the inlet connection and over-sudsing produce very different puddles in very similar places, and two of the three are owner-correctable. What sits behind that ordering: this is a luxury built-in line specified into a designed kitchen and expected to run quietly for a long time.
What the owner observes
- Water along the floor at the front edge under the door — The door seal or the door alignment; the most common location by far.
- A puddle at the back or under the cabinet — Points at the inlet or drain connection rather than the door.
- Foam escaping from the door during the cycle — Over-sudsing, usually the wrong detergent or a rinse-aid spill.
- NEAR MISS — water standing inside and none outside — That is a drainage fault and belongs on its own page.
Ranked causes for this brand and appliance
- Door gasket damaged, displaced or dirty — The gasket runs round the tub opening and a hardened, torn or food-fouled section lets a thin sheet of water past at the bottom corners. Ranked first here because this is a built-in platform with a lot of sensing and a lot of self-protection, so the machine usually stops itself for a reason it has detected rather than failing outright.
- Machine not level, so water pools at one corner — A dishwasher slightly tipped forward carries water to the door rather than to the sump, and the seal is not designed to hold a standing head.
- Door out of alignment or the latch not pulling it square — It commonly follows a heavy load resting on an open door.
- Inlet or drain connection weeping — Compression fittings behind the machine loosen with vibration, and a slow weep travels along the floor before it becomes visible at the front.
Check in this order, and why
- Run a finger round the whole gasket and look for damage or displacement — First — It is the most common source and it is inspected without any tool.
- Put a level on the door frame front to back and side to side — Second — It is free and it explains a leak with no visible damage anywhere.
- Close the door and look along the gap at both sides for evenness — Third — An uneven gap explains a leak that only happens at one corner.

- Run a cycle with no detergent at all — If the leak stops, the cause was foam rather than a seal.

Unplug the dishwasher or switch off its breaker before pulling the machine out or removing any panel; a capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. When to call a technician
Cleaning a gasket, levelling a machine, testing without detergent and locating the source with paper towel are all owner work and they resolve most leaks. Pulling the machine out to remake a fitting or reach a pump seal is not, for the electrical risk as much as the plumbing. Where these are usually fitted counts too: these appliances are integrated into cabinetry, levelled against adjacent units and fed from a dedicated supply.
