What the TM family is
A TM microwave is one platform sold under several model codes, and its faults divide sharply into the ones an owner can act on and the ones that live behind a cabinet covering a charged capacitor. Door and latch wear dominates by a wide margin, and a cold cavity — an oven that runs without heating — is the fault that usually ends the machine.

Owner work, and what is not
On the Cosmo TM microwave family the owner line is the outside of the cabinet, and it is drawn unusually early on purpose. Clearing a lock state, cleaning the waveguide cover, feeling the latch and testing the outlet are all yours.
