In short
The CRH family is a BougeRV refrigerator line covering all three models listed in the table below.
What this looks like from the kitchen
- Food freezing on the top shelf of the fresh-food side — A damper or sensor fault rather than a thermostat set too low, and it is the inverse of the usual complaint on these cabinets.
- Condensation on the outside of the doors — Seals and room humidity, and it usually accompanies a cabinet that is running far longer than it used to. Start on the cooling page.
- A musty smell from the base with no visible water — The drain pan is overflowing slowly into the insulation. It routes to the water leak page before it becomes a floor problem.
Likeliest causes first
- Blocked or frozen defrost drain — High by frequency and first by ease of repair: on most cabinets in this line it needs no parts and no panel.
- Cabinet out of level after a move — It changes which feet carry weight, shifts the drain pan on its seat, and lets the shell resonate. Free to check and often the whole answer.
- Temperature sensor reading wrong — It makes the control act on a number that is not true, which is why the symptom is erratic rather than steady.
- Condenser coil choked with dust — Capacity lost slowly rather than suddenly. It matters more on cabinets in a tight surround, where nobody can reach the machine compartment.

Problem classes on this family, most reported first
General guidance| Problem class | Relative frequency on this family | What it means for the owner |
|---|---|---|
| Airflow and defrost | Leading cluster on this family | Cooling, noise and ice complaints share this origin |
| Drain and water routing | Common | Owner-fixable on most cabinets in this line |
| Ice-maker supply | Common | Filter and fill tube rank ahead of the module |
| Capacity loss: condenser and seals | Less common | Gradual, and shows up first as longer run times |
| Controls and sensors | Less common | Erratic behaviour rather than a steady fault |
| Sealed system | Least common | Licensed work, diagnosed by elimination |
Based on: No measured denominator: the fact bundle for this family carries no component share.
Before any panel comes off
Safety
Disconnect power at the plug before reaching past the rear panel. A fan blade that looks stopped is only stopped because the door is open, and it will spin as soon as the switch closes.
The line between a fix and a call
Call if the fault came back within a season of the last repair. Ask for the previous part number and the previous diagnosis before the visit: the second technician saves an hour by not repeating the first one.
