What is actually happening
Before the control board is suspected on a WGE machine that will not start, test the socket with something else and press the door firmly closed. Between them those two clear a large share of no-start calls on this family.

- The drum hums but does not turn — Power is reaching the motor and something is stopping the drum, so this is a jam or a motor fault rather than a no-start.
