Beko Dishwasher: Door, Latch or Seal Fault
A dishwasher door seal fails at the corners first, and the leak shows up as water on the floor in front of the machine. Before replacing anything, prove the machine is level and square in its opening, because a built-in that has shifted will defeat a perfect gasket. What changes the order on Beko is that the maintenance items the European design exposes to the owner are the ones that block first.
What you are actually seeing
- Water on the floor at the front during the wash
- A gasket visibly out of its channel
- The door needing a push to latch
- Steam escaping around the door edge
- A hardened or torn gasket
- Water on the inside of the door when opened — Means: That is condensate, not a leak.
- A leak only from under the machine — Means: That is the plumbing or the pump, not the door.

- Note: Beko builds to European rather than US conventions — ventless condenser and heat-pump drying, narrow European cabinet widths, inverter direct-drive motors and tall-tub dishwashers with a serviceable filter stack. The order above is specific to this brand rather than generic: a ventless, direct-drive, filter-first design moves the airway and the filter stack to the top of the list and removes the belt and the vent duct from it entirely.

Before you open anything
Safety
Never defeat a door interlock or a safety switch to keep an appliance running, and stop at the first step that would put a meter on live terminals. Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off.
Where the owner fix ends
Call a technician when the gasket is torn or hardened, when the door has dropped on its hinges, or when the machine still leaks at the door with a clean, seated gasket, correct detergent and a level cabinet.
