The short answer

Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. When to call a technician
Call when frost returns within weeks on a cabinet whose doors seal and whose settings are correct, because that is a defrost heater, thermostat or control fault. Call also if a hinge adjustment will not bring a racked door back into line.
