Not Cooling or Not Freezing: the short answer
A cabinet that runs but will not hold temperature is almost always losing the fight at the condenser or the airflow path, not at the compressor. The compressor failing outright is the rarest of the common causes and the only one that is not an owner check.

- the freezer side is still cold while the fresh-food side is not

Unplug the cabinet before you remove any panel or reach behind the toe grille. The sealed system is under pressure and is not an owner-serviceable circuit: never cut, kink, braze or vent a refrigerant line, and never apply heat anywhere near one. A loaded cabinet is heavy and tips forward easily when it is walked out on its front rollers, so empty it first and pull it straight out with a helper rather than levering it on one corner.
