Avanti Dishwasher: Cycle Will Not Run or Complete
A dishwasher that starts and then stops is waiting on a condition it cannot meet — usually a fill it did not get or a drain it could not complete. This page takes the same fault from a different starting point: not which subsystem is likeliest on an Avanti dishwasher, but when the trouble started. This is a compact cabinet with very little air around its condenser, so clearance and ventilation outrank component failure. Causes, grouped by when it started

Before you touch anything

Switch off the dishwasher at its breaker before reaching into the sump, tilting the machine or removing the kick panel; many machines are hard-wired. Water in the tub can be hot and can hide broken glass. Do not disable an anti-flood device to make a machine run — it has detected water outside the tub, and running the machine spreads it.

Call a technician when one of these is true, and not before.
When the machine stalls at the same point with the fill and drain paths proven clear. When there is water in the base tray, which means a leak has to be found first. When a code returns after a full power cycle.
