Avanti Dishwasher: Does Not Clean or Dry
A dishwasher that leaves dishes dirty has usually lost water flow, water temperature or spray coverage — and loading is the cause more often than any component. Switch off the dishwasher at its breaker before removing spray arms or reaching into the sump; many machines are hard-wired. Water in the tub can be hot and can hide broken glass — wear gloves. Never mix dishwasher detergent with bleach or any other cleaner, and never use hand dish soap in the machine: the suds it produces will overflow onto the floor.

Call a technician when one of these is true, and not before.
When one rack is consistently unwashed with clear arms, a clear filter and hot water. When the water is cold at the end of a full cycle. When the spray arms do not turn during the cycle.
