Is it worth repairing one of these?

It depends which fault it is, and they sit at very different prices. The common causes are the cheap ones.

How much of this can I do myself?

More than most expect: the setting, the seal, the levelling, the clearance and the drain are all owner work.

Does where the cabinet stands matter?

A great deal. An enclosed space, a hot room or no clearance at the back all reduce what the machine can remove.

Do all of these models make ice?

No. Ice makers are not fitted across the whole group, so look for a mould and a bail arm rather than assuming from the code.
