What the DF group is
What DF covers is the seven model numbers in the table, and what this page does is route. Every code opens with the same stem and differs only after it. Find the class that matches what your cabinet is doing and follow it; leaks and ice production account for most of it.
What goes wrong, and which page deals with it
- Water and leaks — covered by Avanti DF Refrigerator: Water Leak — Damp inside the cabinet or a puddle in front of it.
- Ice production — covered by Avanti DF Refrigerator: Ice Maker Fault — The ice maker has stopped or slowed. Not every code under this stem carries one, so the first check is whether your cabinet has a mould and an arm.
- Cooling and temperature — covered by Avanti DF Refrigerator: Not Cooling — The cabinet runs but the food is not cold, or the freezer section has gone soft while the fridge section is fine.
- Noise and vibration — covered by Avanti DF Refrigerator: Noise and Vibration — A new noise, or an old one that has got worse.
- NEAR MISS — the cabinet is silent and nothing is cold — A machine that is not running at all is a supply or a start fault rather than any of the classes above, and the first checks for it are the socket, the cord and the breaker.
