The short answer
A leaking WQP machine is usually leaking from a joint you can see, not from the tub. The faucet adapter is the only pressurised joint on a countertop machine and it is made by hand each time. The single most useful thing you can do is note when in the cycle the water appears, because that alone narrows it to one of three causes. There is one number under the WQP label in the table below, so nothing here depends on which variant you own.
What you observe on these models
- Water on the worktop beside the adapter — The only pressurised joint on the machine.
- Spray that stops the instant the cycle pauses — A pressurised joint, not a tub leak.
- Water under the sink but a dry kitchen floor — The leak is in the connections, not in the machine.
- Water only on the longer programmes — A creeping fill rather than a seal.
- NEAR MISS — a wet floor with foam in it — Detergent, not a fault.
Causes, most likely first on the WQP family
- The faucet adapter and its washers — First on this platform: it is the only pressurised joint on the machine and it is made and broken by hand.
- The door seal on a small door — Second: a countertop door is short and any distortion shows immediately as a line of water on the worktop.
- The faucet coupler and its hoses — Third: the coupler carries mains pressure for the whole cycle, it is connected by hand each time, and a worn washer or a coupler not clicked fully home sprays at the tap rather than at the machine.
- The quick-connect at the back of the machine — Fourth: same argument: a handled connection fails before a permanent one.
- Suds from the wrong detergent — Last: hand dish soap foams, and foam carries water out past a seal that is otherwise perfect. It is a leak with no fault behind it.
Check in this order, and why that order
- Watch the faucet adapter through the fill — Mains pressure is on that joint for the whole fill, so a tired washer shows itself in the first minute.
- Dry the worktop, run a cycle, and note where the first water appears — On a small machine the source is nearly always visible.
- If the water is under the machine with the outside dry, stop — That points inside the tub and to a technician.
- Watch the coupler at the tap for the first minute of the cycle — It is under mains pressure the whole time and it is the first suspect on this platform.
- Close the door on a sheet of paper at several points — A door that has been knocked out of square shows up at once.

Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel. A capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. On this platform there is no check worth doing that cannot wait the thirty seconds it takes to isolate the machine properly.

A gasket, a coupler washer and a connection under the sink are all owner jobs. On these models the line falls at anything behind a panel on a machine that holds water. Call without working through anything at all for a door that no longer closes square on a machine full of water.
