- Feel inside the sump with a cloth for a label or a seed — Flat debris blocks a pump without stopping it.
- Uncoil the hose completely and check for kinks — Storage coils become kinks and the machine is usually pushed back against them.
- Run a drain cycle and listen at the pump — Hum with no movement is a jam.
