The short answer

- Hollow or crescent-shaped cubes that are part frozen — Classic partial fill. The tray is being given less water than it expects, which is a supply restriction rather than a mechanism fault.

Ranked causes for these models
- Fill tube frozen — Top of the list here. The tube crosses from warm into cold and the last of each fill sits in that crossing; freeze it once and the mechanism harvests nothing from then on.

- Force a harvest cycle and watch what the mechanism does — A mechanism that goes through its motions and delivers nothing has a supply problem, not a mechanical one.
- Time how long the dispenser takes to fill a cup — A crude flow measurement, and the cheapest way to see a restriction before it reaches the tray.

When this stops being owner work
Call once water reaches the cabinet, the compartment is genuinely cold, the arm is down and there is still no ice. At that point the fault is the inlet valve or the module, and both are tested with a meter rather than by inspection.
