Asko Refrigerator: Controls, Display or Error Code
When a refrigerator display goes blank, flashes, shows a code or stops responding to touch, the control board is rarely the part that has failed. Asko is a Scandinavian premium brand: heavier build, stainless interiors, machines designed for long life and quiet running. Resetting, checking the door switches and reading the panel legend are owner work; testing sensors and boards is not.
What the owner actually observes
- The display shows a code, a letter pair or a flashing indicator that the panel legend does not explain.
- The panel is blank or dim but the interior light and the cooling both still work.
- Buttons do not respond, or the panel responds to some presses and not others.
- The display is alive but the settings will not change or will not hold when the door closes.

- Look at what the machine has been consuming rather than what it is made of. When to call a technician
The line is the point where a test needs a meter across a sensor or a board connector. Call if the code returns immediately after a full power cycle, which means the condition is present rather than latched. Call if the panel reading and a thermometer in the cabinet disagree, which points at a sensor or its wiring. Call if the panel is intermittent or shifting, which usually means moisture or a corroded connector. Call if the machine has taken a surge and several unrelated functions failed together.
