What is not a homeowner job
Reducing detergent, running a monthly hot maintenance wash, leaving the door ajar and emptying the pump filter are all owner actions and they resolve most of the usage half of this list. Call for bearings, for heating faults and for anything electrical — and isolate the machine at the breaker first in that last case. Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel, and close the water supply before disturbing a hose.
