The quick verdict
Artt refrigerators fail mostly in ways that maintenance addresses: fouled condensers, leaking seals and blocked defrost drains, which together produce warmth, water, noise and ice. Genuinely unpreventable failures — relays, controls and sealed systems — are a smaller group. Anything that stops the cabinet holding safe temperature is urgent regardless of which group it comes from.
What the machine is doing
- Fresh food warm, freezer cold — Airflow and defrost. The cooling page, and a manual defrost is the test.
- Water under the crisper or on the floor — A blocked defrost drain, usually, and owner-fixable.
- Frost building unusually fast — Seals. The preventable cause behind the two above.
- Nothing running at all — Supply first. The will-not-start page.
- A repeating click behind the unit — The start relay, and it is the unpreventable class.
- A cabinet that never stops running — Heat rejection: clean the coil before anything else.
Where the fault usually sits
- Condenser fouling — First, entirely preventable, and it degrades everything else.
- Door seal degradation — Second, largely preventable, and the origin of frost and constant running.
- Defrost system and drain — Third, and the drain half is owner-clearable.
- Relay and control — Fourth, and not preventable by maintenance.
- Sealed system — Last, rare, and the class that ends an old cabinet.

| Condenser fouling | yes | yes |
| Door seals | largely | cleaning yes, replacement sometimes |
| Defrost and drain | partly | drain yes, heater no |
| Relay and control | no | no |

What is not a homeowner job
Cleaning the condenser, wiping the seals, clearing the drain and defrosting are all owner work and together they prevent most of this list. Call when the cabinet cannot hold at 40 degrees Fahrenheit or below despite them, when you hear a repeating click, or when cooling returns after a defrost and then fails again. Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel.

Where this page stops
This page is generalized across Artt refrigerators and is family-agnostic. It names no models, capacities or part references, because those differ between builds sold under this badge. Where a family- or model-specific page exists for your unit, the symptom pages above link down to it and it is the more precise answer. Clearances, levelling and the supply circuit belong to the installation rather than to the appliance.
