Arietta Refrigerator: Ice Maker Fault
An ice maker that has stopped is usually not broken: it is either not getting water, not getting cold enough, or has been switched off — and the three are easy to tell apart. An ice maker needs the freezer to be genuinely cold before it will fill at all, so an ice fault is frequently the first visible symptom of a cooling fault. When to call a technician
The line is anything requiring the water valve or the module to be tested or replaced. Call if the fill tube freezes shut again after being cleared, which points at a fill valve leaking past its seat. Call if the freezer is not reaching 0 °F (−18 °C), because the cooling fault comes first. Call if water hammers, drips or leaks at the supply connection.
