The table lists every model number the label covers. Check the rating plate against it; if the number is not there, this is the wrong page.

Where do I find the model number?

On the rating plate: inside the compartment or behind the lower grille on a cold appliance, and inside the door opening or behind the filter cover on a laundry one. Compare it with the table above.

Can I turn the ice maker off for a holiday?

Yes, and it is sensible. Use the shut-off arm or the control, and shut the supply valve if the house will be empty for a long period.

Is a new ice maker module a job an owner can do?

On many cabinets it is a plug and two screws. The diagnosis is the hard part; confirm the water side and the temperature first, because a new module fixes neither.

Why has the ice in the bin fused into a block?

The bin warmed enough for the surface to melt and then refroze. That happens after a power cut, a door left ajar, or a freezer running a little warm.

Why does the ice taste odd?

Ice absorbs odours from open packages and stale air. Empty the bin, wrap strong-smelling food properly, and the new ice will usually be clean.
