The short answer on 2h
A display showing 2h, a number followed by h, means the Delay Wash has been activated and the washer is waiting before it starts. It is not a fault. You can let the delay run, change it or cancel it, and a little planning makes the most of the feature: time the delay so the wash finishes when someone is home to unload it. The load stays dry while it waits, so there is no harm in letting the delay run.
Error codes
Reference| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 2h | When the display shows a number up to 12, followed by an "h," the Delay Wash has been activated. Most front-load washers can be set to delay the wash for up to 8 or 12 hours (depending on your model). |
Behaviour that comes with 2h
- 2h on the display, with the washer silent — The delay is running.
- The wash starting later than you expected — A delay was set, perhaps longer than intended.
- Damp laundry left sitting after a delayed wash — The cycle ended with nobody home.
- The display back to normal after a change — The delay has been adjusted or cleared.
Why 2h appears, in likelihood order
- A delay set on purpose — First: the feature is working as designed.
- A delay set longer than intended — Second: the delay button pressed more times than meant.
- A delay set by accident — Third: pressed while choosing the cycle.
- A display or control fault — Last: only if the washer ignores start, change or cancel.
Checking a 2h display, in order
- Confirm the delay is intended — The display shows the delay that has been set.
- Work out when the cycle will end — The delay plus the cycle time tells you when to unload.
- Adjust or cancel if needed — Your manual shows how.
- Book a check only if it will not respond — A washer that ignores its controls needs a technician.
Clearing 2h and checking it safely
- Plan the finish time — Choose a delay so the cycle ends when someone can unload it.
About 1 min
- Change the delay — Use the delay button as your manual describes to add or remove hours.

Safety on this appliance
Safety
Check the drum before a delayed cycle starts, because it runs with nobody at the washer, and keep children and pets away from an open front-load door. Unplug the washer before any service or before moving it, and never force the door while a cycle is running. Because a delayed wash may run while nobody is home, make sure the hoses and the floor around the washer are sound before you leave it.
Reset or repair: where the line is
A delay display needs no technician. Call only if the washer will not start, change or cancel the delay as the manual describes, or if it never starts once the delay has ended. If the number never changes over a long wait, or the cycle never begins after the delay, note what the display showed and for how long before booking.
