The problems in frequency order
- Loss of cooling with the unit still running — The leading complaint on the MTF line. A compressor that still runs points at the air path, which is where three of the four checks live.
- Water where it should not be — Second: melt water that cannot clear a silted, frozen drain backs up inside the liner and comes forward instead.
- An ice maker that has stopped keeping up — Third: an empty bin is often the earliest sign that the freezer is running warm, rather than an ice-maker fault at all.
- A running noise that has changed — Fourth: two fans, the compressor mounts and the cabinet's levelling account for nearly all of it, much of it without a part.

Before you open anything
Safety
Isolate the appliance at its breaker or unplug it before any panel comes off — a capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off. The refrigerant circuit is licensed work and is not an owner repair at any point. Empty the cabinet before moving it.
Where owner work stops
Owner work on the MTF line stops at the freezer rear panel and the sealed system. Gaskets, drains, coils, filters and levelling are reachable; the evaporator and the refrigerant circuit are not.
