The short answer
On an ADB dishwasher, a water leak is most often a fitting rather than a component: inlet and drain connections are the joints that move, and they are the ones that weep long before anything inside the machine fails. The causes below are in likelihood order, cheapest first; working down that order costs less than starting with the part that sounds most alarming.
What you actually observe
- A leak only on heavy cycles — Higher water temperature and longer running, which finds a marginal seal first.
- Foam pushing out around the door during the cycle — Over-sudsing, which is a detergent fault and not a seal fault.
- A damp patch that only appears at the back of the cabinet — An inlet or drain fitting rather than the machine itself.
- Standing water inside and none on the floor — NEAR MISS: that is a drainage fault and it has its own page.
- Body: The ADB listings carry a masked suffix in the spine, so the trailing characters on your rating plate will differ from the table without changing the diagnosis.
