Hazard: Excessive vibration during high-speed spin cycles can cause the top of the washer to detach from the chassis, posing a risk of injury from impact. Samsung received 733 reports of excessive vibration or top detachment, including 9 reports of injuries.
Remedy: Free in-home repair to reinforce the top of the washer and update the control software to reduce maximum spin speed, OR a rebate toward the purchase of a new washing machine (Samsung or other brand). Rebate amounts: USD 150 for Samsung replacement, USD 75 for other-brand replacement.
