The short answer
An ice maker needs three things: water arriving, a freezer cold enough to harvest, and a module that is switched on and not jammed. Nearly every no-ice call is one of the first two, and both are owner-checkable. Lift the mould and look. An empty mould means water is not arriving; a mould full of solid ice means the harvest is not happening, and those are opposite faults. What you observe

Causes, most likely first on a Stakol refrigerator
- Ice maker arm or sensor in the off position — The wire arm or the switch that stops the maker when the bin is full is left up, knocked up by a bag, or reading a bin that is not seated. - Put a thermometer in the freezer overnight and read it in the morning — A freezer holds food safely at zero degrees Fahrenheit or below.

When to call a technician
Call once water is proven to arrive, the freezer is proven cold and the arm is down, but the mould still will not fill or harvest — at that point it is the module.
