The short answer
An ice maker needs three things: water arriving, a freezer cold enough to harvest, and a module that is switched on and not jammed. Nearly every no-ice call is one of the first two, and both are owner-checkable. Lift the mould and look. An empty mould means water is not arriving; a mould full of solid ice means the harvest is not happening, and those are opposite faults. Causes, most likely first on a Stovv refrigerator
- Ice maker arm or sensor in the off position — The wire arm or the switch that stops the maker when the bin is full is left up, knocked up by a bag, or reading a bin that is not seated. - Fill tube or inlet valve frozen — A slow drip freezes in the fill tube, the next fill backs up, and a plug of ice grows until nothing reaches the mould at all. Second on this platform: it is the fault that feeds itself: each failed fill makes the plug bigger.

- Check the wire arm is down, or that the on switch is lit, and that the bin is seated — A raised arm or an unseated bin stops production entirely.
- Look at the fill tube at the back of the freezer for a plug of ice — A visible plug ends the diagnosis on the spot.
- Put a thermometer in the freezer overnight and read it in the morning — A freezer holds food safely at zero degrees Fahrenheit or below.

- Lower the wire arm fully, re-seat the ice bin and confirm the on indicator — Give it several hours before judging the result.

Call once water is proven to arrive, the freezer is proven cold and the arm is down, but the mould still will not fill or harvest — at that point it is the module.
