Find where the water appears before you look for why. The ranking here starts with machine not level, or the door out of square.
What you observe
- Water at the front, below the door — The door seal, the door itself, or spray reaching the vent.
- Water at one front corner only — Points at the cabinet being out of level or a door out of square.
- Water under the middle of the machine — A hose connection or the sump, and it needs the machine pulled out.
- NEAR MISS — water stands inside the tub and never reaches the floor — That is a drainage failure, not a leak, and it has its own page.
Causes, most likely first on a Signature Kitchen Suite dishwasher

Before you open anything
Safety
Switch the dishwasher off at its breaker or its isolation switch before reaching into the sump — a capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off, and there is broken glass in more sumps than not. Wear a glove and use a torch rather than feeling around blind. Close the water supply valve before disturbing any hose. Do not lean on an open door: the hinge springs carry the weight of the door and a loaded rack, and a dishwasher is anchored to the worktop for that reason.
When to call a technician
Call once the door seal, the detergent, the levelling and the visible connections are all sound and water still arrives, because what is left is under the tub. Shut the supply valve and stop using the machine in the meantime — a slow leak under a cabinet does expensive damage. Use an installer or technician authorised for the line: panelled and integrated machines can be damaged by the removal itself, and the trim and hinge hardware is specific to the family.
