The short answer
On an Invision washer, water on the floor around the machine is usually a weeping hose or coupling rather than a failed tub seal. If that is clean, a drain hose out of its outlet is next. Most causes below are owner checks needing no tools and no panel off; the last is a service call.
What you are looking at
- The floor is wet only during the drain — It stays dry through fill and wash.
- The floor is wet with the machine idle — Water collects with nothing running.
- There is a tidemark in the door fold — Debris and a line of grime at one spot in the boot.
- NEAR MISS -- water inside the drum at the end — That is a drainage fault rather than a leak.
Causes, most likely first on this kind of unit
- A fill hose or coupling is weeping — Rubber washers harden, couplings loosen with vibration, and a faucet adapter under pressure seeps steadily. First here, because on an Invision compact machine wheeled to a sink rather than plumbed in these connections are under mains pressure whenever the taps are open, so they leak whether the machine runs or not.
- The drain hose is loose at its outlet — A hose that has worked its way out of the standpipe, or a loose clamp at the machine end, discharges onto the floor under pump pressure. Ranked here because a hose out of its outlet wets the floor only while the pump runs.
- Too much detergent is pushing water out — Oversudsing lifts water above the door seal and out of the vents. Ranked here because suds carry water past a seal that is otherwise perfectly good.
- The tub seal or bearing housing — Water leaking from the centre of the machine, or rust streaks below the drum shaft, means the tub seal. Last, and that is the point of the order: it is the one cause here that is not an owner repair, so it is checked last.

- Dry each joint and lay paper towel under it — Open the taps, wait, and read the towels; the wet one names the joint.
- Watch the outlet during the drain — Secure the hose at the standpipe and check the clamp at the machine end.
- Only after the accessible sources are dry — Water from the centre of the machine, or rust below the shaft, is a service call and a cost worth weighing.
