The short answer
A Hero washer that stalls partway through is usually waiting for water it cannot get or a drain it cannot complete, rather than suffering a failed control board. - Check both taps are fully open and the inlet screens are clear — A slow fill stretches the cycle before it stops it.
- Run a short cold cycle with a small balanced load — If a short cold cycle completes, you have isolated the fault to heat or to the long program stages.

Unplug the washer or switch off its breaker before opening the pump filter or any panel, and close both taps first. Water behind a pump filter can be hot after a hot cycle, so let the machine stand before you open it. Never force the door on a machine that has stopped with water in the drum: the lock holds for a reason, and emptying through the filter is the correct route.
When to call a technician
Call once the filter and hoses are clear, the taps are open and a short cold cycle still stalls, because the next step is a meter on the heater, the lock and the sensors. Call at once if you smell hot plastic or burning during a cycle, and switch off at the breaker before opening anything. Parts for a direct import come from the seller rather than a service network, so confirm the part can actually be had before paying for a diagnosis that ends in a back-order.
