This page is written around the undercounter, beverage and glass-door side of the range — the cabinets that live under a bar or a counter, are opened far more often than a kitchen fridge, and are usually built into furniture that was never designed to ventilate them. Most of the time on a Euhomy refrigerator this comes down to one of two findings: a door seal letting humid air in, or the cabinet is out of level so water runs the wrong way.
What you are looking at
- Condensation on the glass, or bottles sweating on the top shelf — A glass door in a warm, humid room condenses on the outside and warms the top of the cabinet on the inside.
- Water pooling under the crisper drawers or along the cabinet floor — The classic blocked defrost drain: melt water backs up in the trough and spills forward instead of leaving.
- NEAR MISS — water only when the dispenser is used — That is a dispenser or supply-side fault rather than a defrost fault, and it points at the line, the fitting or the filter housing.
The ranking that matters
- A door seal letting humid air in — Ranked first on a Euhomy refrigerator because the doors are light, the gaskets are thin, and a single warm door is enough to change how the whole cabinet behaves. Warm air condenses on cold surfaces and the resulting water has to go somewhere; in a humid room a marginal door produces a surprising amount of it.
- The cabinet is out of level so water runs the wrong way — Second here: these units are bought for a spare room, a garage or a camper and are routinely asked to work in an ambient the fitted-kitchen brands never see.
- A dislodged, cracked or overflowing evaporation pan — The pan lives under the cabinet and is easily knocked out of its cradle when the machine is moved, after which every defrost cycle ends up on the floor.
What to check first, second and third
- First: Run the paper test round the frame and look for condensation on the frame rather than only on the shelves. — It sits first because the doors are light, the gaskets are thin, and a single warm door is enough to change how the whole cabinet behaves.
- Second: Check the level side to side and front to back, and look at which corner the water actually collects in. — Next, and it needs no tool.
- Third: With the power off, look underneath at the pan seating and check whether the floor is wet directly under it. — Only once the checks above are clean.
The owner-side checks
- Draw the cabinet out of its furniture opening and run it in the open for a day — A beverage or undercounter unit boxed into a cupboard cannot reject heat, and a day running clear of the opening settles whether the enclosure is the fault.

- Check and re-seat the evaporation pan — With the power off, look underneath for a pan sitting out of its cradle, cracked, or simply full because the room is very humid.

Before you open anything
Safety
Water and electricity share a cabinet here. Unplug the appliance or switch off its breaker before removing any panel or reaching underneath — a capacitor can hold a charge after the power is off — and dry the floor before you kneel on it. Shut the water supply off at its valve before touching any fitting, and never use a sharp tool to clear a drain hole from inside the freezer: the drain heater and the sensor are directly behind it.
The line between a fix and a call
Call a technician when the drain blocks again within weeks of being cleared, when the water is arriving with the frost sheet of a defrost fault, or when a supply fitting weeps after being re-seated. Call immediately if water is reaching an outlet, a power lead or the compressor compartment, and switch the machine off at the breaker before it does.
