The short answer

When to call a technician
Call once the drain, the pan and the seal are all clean and the water is still arriving, because a weeping valve or a split liner needs the cabinet stripped. Call sooner if the water is near an outlet or has reached flooring that will not dry, since that damage outruns the repair. Bear in mind when you decide that a large-format built-in is a two-person job to pull and the service call is usually cheaper than the damage a solo attempt does to the flooring.
