What the FP family is
An FP dishwasher is one platform sold under a handful of model codes, and the faults that actually arrive on it are the ordinary dishwasher four: it will not start, it will not drain, it leaks, or it stops cleaning properly. Drainage and cleaning complaints dominate, and both start at the filter — which is also the part nobody cleans.
What goes wrong

Most frequent first on the FP family
- It will not drain — Ranked first on the FP family — the filter and sump load up over months on any dishwasher, and this platform is no exception; it is the most frequent single complaint and the cheapest to put right.
- It stops cleaning or drying properly — Second — second, and usually the same neglect seen earlier: a blinded filter starves the spray arms long before it stops the drain.

Owner work, and what is not
On the Costway FP dishwasher family the owner line is the lower access panel. Filters, spray arms, the door gasket, the drain hose and the connection under the sink are all reachable with the machine isolated and nothing removed.
