When a Comfee CERC refrigerator leaks, the question is where the water was made, and the answer decides everything else. Nothing in that path is pressurised — it works on gravity, which means an unlevel cabinet is enough to send water the wrong way. The first job is to separate melt water from supply water, and where the puddle sits usually tells you.
What the owner sees and hears
- A frozen layer in the bottom of the compartment — Ice in the base is the frozen version of a blocked drain, seen at a colder setting.
- The unit leans forward — A forward lean sends backed-up water out of the door instead of holding it in the channel.
- The puddle returns on a cycle — Time the puddles against the machine rather than against your day — the interval is the clue.
- A puddle under the compressor area — If your model has a water line, the joints are back here.

Causes, most likely first on the CERC line
