Straight answer first
A leaking Comfee C dishwasher is the one fault that damages things outside the machine, because water reaches floors, cabinets and the circuit below. Water appearing at the front under the door is a door or seal problem. A standard US household branch circuit is 15 A or 20 A at 120 V, and a dishwasher shares that circuit with everything the leak is wetting.
What you actually observe
- Visible damage to the door gasket — Clean it first — grease and debris cause the same symptom — then judge.
- Water appears in the first minutes — Fill-step leaks point at the supply side.
- The machine was recently installed — Check every connection that was disturbed — hand-tight is not tight.
- Water at the front — The door seal or the load — the most common source by a distance.
- The water level is too high — An inlet valve that does not close, or a float or pressure sensor fault.
- NEAR MISS — water inside after a cycle — Water inside the base is a drainage complaint, not a leak.
What it usually turns out to be, in order
- Door seal damaged or dirty — Clean it before judging it: debris holds the door off.
- A pan deflecting the spray — An item leaning on the door holds the seal open a fraction, which is all it takes.
- Excess foam — High because it is a classic and because the symptom — foam on the floor — names itself.
- The inlet or drain fitting — It belongs here because water at the side or back points straight at plumbing.
- A leak inside the cabinet — Water from underneath with nothing visible above points here.
The order to work in
- Clean and inspect the seal — Look for splits, hardening, or a section pushed out of its channel.
- Stop the cycle, cut the power and close the water — Close the isolating valve, usually under the sink.
- Locate the source — Mop and dry so a new drip is visible.
- Look for items leaning on the door — Reload and re-run to prove it.
- Check the detergent used and the dose — Free, common, and easily missed.
What to do before the panel comes off
Safety
If the isolating valve will not close, the main stop tap is the next one. Dry everything thoroughly and keep it dry while the fault is open. Let the machine cool before working in it — the interior stays hot.
