The short answer

Causes, most likely first on this family

- No power — breaker, junction box or supply wiring — Third: a dark panel makes this first instead, but a lit panel rules it out entirely.
- Thermal fuse or the control board supply — Fourth because confirming it needs the panel off and a meter.

Check in this order, and why
- Look at the panel before touching anything — Dark means a supply problem; lit means the machine is refusing. The two paths share nothing.
- Press the door firmly shut and start again — The latch has to make its switch before the control will run, and it is the commonest reason nothing happens.
- Clear control lock and delay start — Both are held-key functions on these models and both present as a machine that ignores the start key.
- Check the breaker and the junction box at the machine base — With the breaker off, confirm the connections are tight. A loose neutral gives an intermittently dead machine.
