What is actually happening
Water under a WGA machine is worth mapping before it is chased. Dry the floor, lay paper towel in three places, run a short cycle, and see which one wets first: the direction is the whole diagnosis on this platform.

- Run the seal fold with a cloth and look for grit and tears — Second because it is the leading cause, and the inspection and the fix are often the same action.
- Dry the floor completely and lay paper towel front, middle and back — The towel that wets first names the region, and that is a far stronger start than guessing from a puddle.
- Check the drain hose is clipped and seated at the standpipe — Do this early on any machine that has been moved: a hose out of its pipe is the most dramatic leak and the easiest to miss.
