The short answer
Within the Blomberg WFTV washer family the diagnosis takes a particular shape, and it is the access pattern of these models rather than the fault itself that decides it. - Listen during the drain step — A humming pump with no water movement means an obstruction. Complete silence means the pump is not being run at all, which is a different branch entirely.

Switch off at the socket and close the taps first. Have towels ready: a drum that has not drained empties through the filter port all at once, and a wet floor beside a plugged-in appliance is a hazard in itself.
When to call a technician
The line is the cabinet. Filters, hoses, seals, taps, detergent and levelling are yours; pumps, pressure switches, bearings and control boards are not. Call sooner if there is any burning smell or if the machine trips its circuit.
